Seaside themed family Brighton Bandstand wedding
These two gorgeous Brightonian locals Terry and Wayne planned the a lovely, relaxed wedding day. Not only for themselves but for their family and friends who were always paramount in their wedding day choices and planning. In their words their wedding day was back to front! The reception breakfast before the ceremony followed by the party!
Favourite Brighton Wedding Venues!
Their day consisted of some of my favourite Brighton landmarks and wedding venues (Brighton Music Hall, Brighton Band Stand and The Grand), all of which I had shot at before. I was super excited when they got in touch to ask me to be their photographer.
Brighton Music Hall Wedding Breakfast
As this wedding day was going to be “back to front” (Terry’s words not mine)! I started the day with their friends and family eagerly awaiting at Brighton Music Hall the arrival of the boys, their ring bearing sons Kian and Louis and mermaid Debs, (best woman). Noel from Delux Wedding Cars was driving them in the fabulous “Candy” a 1965 split scree camper van.
The guys had loads of lovely personal touches including photo frames with their favourite photos of their guests. Personalised seaside rock on tables, and table displays with little starfish and seashells in goldfish bowls (not live!). They wanted a seafront location that was both vibrant and informal and close to the Brighton Bandstand and the Brighton Music Hall certainly ticked all of those boxes.
Their wedding Wedding was completely seaside themed.
“we are calling it our ‘seaside wedding’. All elements reflect the sea in some way, from invitations (seaside postcards), flowers (including seas shells and starfish), personalised seaside rocks (wedding favour/place names), cake (sea-themed with meringue seashells/driftwood, suit and flower colours – hues of the sea from dark blue to teal to turquoise and white, location – against the backdrop of the sea”.
Brighton Bandstand Wedding Ceremony
One of my favourite spots in Brighton has got to be the Brighton Bandstand. It is a truly stunning place for a wedding ceremony. After the gorgeous wedding breakfast at Brighton Music Hall, Terry, Wayne ring bearers and mermaid got a lift down in the gorgeous Candy VW van whilst their guests and I had a leisurely stroll along the beachfront to the bandstand.
Getting ready at the Grand
Terry and Wayne had booked a suite at the Brighton Grand. Which was great as it was so close to the Brighton Music Hall. I headed back to the hotel with all the boys after the ceremony for a very chilled hour or so of relaxed photos. Terry and Wayne got changed into their second outfit of the day and then we took advantage of the stunning staircase and balconies at the Grand for some super chilled photos. Then it was time for some couple only relaxed unposed beach photos of the boys whilst we wandered back to the Brighton Music Hall.

The music, cake cutting, and emotive speeches kicked off the evening celebrations.
What a lovely, beautiful wedding day for Terry and Wayne and all their friends and family! A real pleasure to be a part of such a special wedding day with two lovely, lovely guys.
