Vibrant Street Art for LGBTQ+ Wedding in Camden: A Unique London Pub Experience

“Hi Liza! Thank you for the email! The photos look amazing, we are very happy with them! Thank you also for all the hard work you did during the wedding itself. You made us feel very comfortable and really helped with the flow of the day.  It’s very nice to look back and see everyone smiley and happy in all the pictures. They are very special memories that we will cherish for many years still 🥰”

LGBTQ+ Wedding in Camden

I couldn’t wait to get this wedding on my blog. Super excited to share with you about this amazing LGBTQ+ wedding in Camden that I had the pleasure of photographing. Being a winter wedding it meant that we had much less day time and light compared to a wedding in the later months. But this didn’t matter one iota! The lovely brides were keen to get out and explore the vibrant urbanscape of Camden for some pre-ceremony pix. The wedding was held close to Primrose Hill in Camden, which was the perfect setting for this multi-cultural couple Lisa and Sophia’s special day.

I love it when couples want to for a bit of a stroll or walk for their couple pix.  Especially if that means walking through Camden and Regents Canal with its super cool street art vibe.  The brides were not only up for it they suggested it! Totally my cup of tea –  a pre-ceremony stroll through the market and Regents Canal to the gorgeous Princess of Wales gastro Pub near Primrose Hill for their LGBTQ+ wedding in Camden.

Super Cute Couple

Lisa and Sophia are such a lovely couple.  They planned their LGBTQ+ wedding in Camden to be exactly seven years, seven months, and seven days after their very first date. They wanted a low-key, intimate wedding, and that’s exactly what they got. It was such a special day with family and friends from all around the world. Sophia is from Greece, and Lisa is from the Netherlands, so it was an extra special occasion to have everyone together.

Getting Ready at Mirabilis

We started the day at the Mirabilis Apartments, which were absolutely stunning. The apartments have a chic and modern design that made for some really gorgeous getting ready shots of the brides. We had so much fun capturing those early moments, and it was beautiful to see the excitement and joy on Lisa and Sophia’s faces as they were getting ready for their big day with both their mums.

Stroll through Camden

After a leisurely and super chilled wedding prep, we took a stroll through Camden Market and the canal to get to the Princess of Wales Pub, where the ceremony and celebration took place.  Lisa and Sophia were had told me they might feel a bit nervous about having their photos taken.  Yup just about all my couples say exactly the same and I do get it!  But after some chit chat they quickly relaxed and had some lovely moments. The weather played ball and the result being some stunning and fun images that perfectly captured their love and happiness.  This short 20 minute break in their day and little bit of gentle exercise also I know helped them relax before greeting all their guests for the ceremony.  On to the pub and the ceremony.  Note:  The girls planned well and both were wearing trainers!

Princess of Wales Wedding Venue

The iconic gastro pub with  its elegant classic decor was the perfect venue for a wedding.  It had a really warm and inviting feel.  High ceilings and large windows. It was warm and cosy as the day drew darker and we quickly lost the light on the late February Winter’s day. The elegant and quirky decor provided the perfect backdrop for Lisa and Sophia’s ceremony and reception.  The warm glow and cosy ambiance of the pub made it feel a perfect venue for their romantic LGBTQ+ wedding in Camden.

One of the highlights of the venue was the downstairs courtyard bar, which had an amazing multi-coloured umbrella installation that was simply stunning. It was definitely one of my favourite spots to capture some cute and fun shots of the couple and their guests.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was absolutely lovely, and it was so great to see Lisa and Sophia walking in together surrounded by their loved ones. The atmosphere was full on love, with all their friends and family coming together from all around the world to celebrate their love and commitment to each other.  Drinks and reception followed leaving enough time for Sofia and Lisa to nip out again with me to the nearby elegant Primrose Hill Square for a few more relaxed couple pix.

Wow! What a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, and happiness. Being a part of this special LGBTQ+ wedding in Camden was as always a real pleasure. I do feel so grateful to have been able to capture those special moments for couples and know that Lisa and Sophia will cherish them for a lifetime.
