“Liza is an absolutely amazing photographer! Our wedding was in Brighton on the 11th November 2023. Liza made us both feel at ease as were both pretty awkward in front of a camera! Every single photograph is a cherished memory. Liza was fully up for adapting locations for my wheelchair, an attitude that is hard to find these days. Thank you so much from both of us” . Wedding at Malmaison Hotel Brighton
Whoa! what an amazing experience I had capturing Mandy and Michelle’s Wedding at Malmaison Hotel Brighton. Malmasion is a fab venue with awesome outlook and views over the Brighton Marina. It was an absolute blast and ticked multiple boxes for me!

Full of love ✔️
Photographing an accessible and inclusive wedding was a big responsibility and important to get right. Happy to say these two “living life to the full lovelies” were super stoked with their wedding day photo memories too!
LGBTQ+ wheelchair accessible and inclusive wedding
When Michelle and Mandy reached out to me, I knew right away that we would be a perfect match. They wanted a photographer who was LGBTQ+ positive and had experience capturing folk in wheelchairs. After our zoom meeting, we all just clicked, and I was chuffed to be a part of their special day.
The brides had such a cool vision for their wedding – low key, relaxed, colourful, and full of rainbows and tartan. They wanted everything to be accessible and inclusive, and it was a real privilege to be a part of making that happen.
The Perfect Day
The day started with these lovelies getting ready at the super cool and very quirky Malmaison. Surrounded by their closest crew. There were laughs, a few tears (the happy kind), and heaps of love.
Michelle and Mandy exchanged vows and exited to confetti amid the awesome raw sound of bagpipes (provided by Michelle’s proudly Scottish Dad’s mate)!
A gorgeous afternoon tea and more Scottish jigs and entertainment followed then a switch of rooms and time to get the party started. Two fabulous Drag Queens all the way from Wales provided the laughs, fun and tunes and a fabulous round or two of bingo.
Throughout the day, my goal was to capture the honest and candid emotions of Michelle and Mandy’s love story. From the laughter during the getting ready, to the tears of joy during the ceremony, to the craziness of the party. Every moment was beautifully real and full of life and fun.
Epic Wedding Cakes
The wedding cake was actually 3 epic cakes! One dinosaur cake, one chimp cake and one plumbers cake! This is the second time this year that the brides have had a dinosaur cakes! Dinosaurs in vogue!
As a Brighton wedding photographer who strives for the natural, unposed moments, this wedding was just my cup of tea! I live for honest, emotive, and candid photography. Michelle and Mandy’s accessible and inclusive wedding was filled with those genuine moments that make my job a bloody joy!
A Wedding where you could be totally yourself
Being a part of their day and capturing their story was not just about taking stunning images the couple would love, but also about creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere where they could be themselves. It’s all about being happy, loved-up, and completely in the moment.
So here’s to Michelle and Mandy, two beautiful souls who remind me that love can surpass all challenges that life throws at us. Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey and for trusting me to capture your unique and wonderful love story at your accessible and inclusive wedding.
Here’s to many more colourful, fun, and authentic moments together. Cheers to love, happiness, and being true to who you are.
